Dr. Austin Ifedirah is an entrepreneur and executive with a passion for building companies that solve real-world problems. As CO-FOUNDER and CEO of Bandika IoT Limited, he leads the company's mission to deliver smart IoT solutions across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, DR Congo, and Nigeria — helping governments and businesses drive efficiency, safety, and transparency across energy, logistics, and security.
Bandika IoT's solutions span electronic cargo tracking (ECTS), telematics, smart utilities, security surveillance, and the Bandika LoadBoard — a digital freight platform connecting shippers, carriers, and brokers across Africa. Austin previously founded Engagent Health, a SaaS platform that grew to 300+ staff, and served as President & CEO of Eon Health, where he raised $125M to launch a Medicare Advantage plan across two states. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Benin.
As CEO, Austin drives Bandika IoT's strategic direction, product roadmap, and expansion across five African nations. He ensures that every solution — from ECTS to LoadBoard — delivers measurable impact for governments, enterprises, and communities. His entrepreneurial background enables rapid iteration and customer-centric innovation.
Before Bandika IoT, Austin founded Engagent Health, a SaaS platform that scaled to over 300 staff. He then served as President & CEO of Eon Health, where he raised $125M to launch a Medicare Advantage plan across two U.S. states. These experiences taught him how to build, fund, and scale mission-driven companies — lessons he now applies to Africa's IoT transformation.
